What do you think? …

Eric Wagner
I'm one of the founders, along with Bryan Alger. Happy to answer any questions people may have. Hope to see you on the app!

@ericwagner How is Gravitus different from apps like Strong or JEFIT?
Eric Wagner
@bharris Great question! There's some feature overlap but our missions and audiences are different. Jefit is focused on getting in shape and on those fairly new to strength training (you'll see featured workouts like "Get Rid Of That Muffin Top" and a big emphasis on the instructional exercise content). Strong is more a replacement for a traditional pen and paper workout journal, or maybe the Notes app on your phone. Gravitus is a community of strength training athletes—people who like to lift (expect to see workouts from Starting Strength or Wendler 5/3/1 instead of Building Your Beach Body). And we give lifters the tools they need to plan and track their workouts as efficiently as possible. For example, workout templates are specified in standard notation (e.g. 5 x 5 or 90% x 3). Starting a workout is one tap away from the home screen. Camraderie and competition is another big part of what we do. Basically if you like to lift, you'll like Gravitus!

@ericwagner to bad the app is only available in USA. 😟
Eric Wagner
@rudyrosciglione It’s actually available in the following markets (predominantly English speaking ones while we work on getting the app translated): United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, New Zealand, Jamaica, Guyana, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Dominica, Bermuda, Palau and Anguilla. Where are you located? Hopefully we’ll have it available for you soon!
Rudy Rosciglione
@ericwagner i am based in Poland. I will sign up with my second account tomorrow and try it! 😉
Eric Wagner
@rudyrosciglione Excellent :) Let me know if you have any feedback once you try it! You can leave it here or email me directly: eric@gravitus.co.
Eric Wagner
@rudyrosciglione Nice portfolio by the way!
Rudy Rosciglione
@ericwagner oh thank you! 😄 😁

This seams really useful.

This app is super helpful for keeping track of the various workouts I do -- and how much weight I lifted last time.
Eric Wagner
@chuckbryant Thanks, that's great to hear!
Mayank Verma
Are the exercises videos made by your company or your app users? Or they are created by vine community? Just curious
Eric Wagner
@maddynator They're submitted by our users and the community upvotes the best ones to the top.
Rushabh Doshi
Hey @ericwagner , very cool app. What's your thought on botifying the app?
Eric Wagner
@rushabh_doshi Can you clarify what you mean by botifying?
Rushabh Doshi
@ericwagner bring this to a bot like Gymly. The data you have is incredible, could be a great use case for a messenger bot
Carl
Looks like a good way f learning new exercises/techniques. I've downloaded the app but the app fails when I try to open it. I have downloaded several times to no avail. I'm running iOS9.3.2 on an iPhone 5s.
Bryan Alger
@carld89 Thanks for the heads up Carl! We're looking into it this morning. Shoot me a message if you have any more details that might help us investigate: bryan@gravitus.co
