I wasn't happy with doing university work in word, google docs or notion. Each had their shortcomings. I spent a year building exactly what I wanted from the ground up. Graphite is a technically powerful, free place to work with your study group, and is great for sharing notes, documents and materials. The idea is that only one person has to download today's lecture and put it in the right folder, everyone else benefits from a shared context - including an AI tutor that uses the books and other materials in the course
