Hi Product Hunt, I'm Oliver, and I built GrantSift.
Grant and student funding information is public, but it is scattered across government portals, agency sites and university pages. I wanted one place to search it, where every listing sends you straight back to the official page so you can check the rules yourself.
What you can do on GrantSift:
**Business funding.** Browse grants and funding programs for Canada, the US, the UK, the EU and Australia. Pages are organised by country, province or state, sector (tech, agriculture, arts, clean energy, export and more), funder type, award size and deadline month. There are also pages for founder groups such as women, Indigenous, youth, newcomer and veteran entrepreneurs.
**Student funding.** A separate student section for Canada (Canada Student Grants, OSAP and each province's student aid, plus scholarships and bursaries) and the US (Pell, FSEOG, TEACH, state aid such as Cal Grant and NY TAP, and scholarships). Loans are labelled as loans.
**Filters and eligibility check.** Filter by country, region, sector and status, or answer a short eligibility check for business or for students.
**Free tools.** A grant budget calculator, cost-share calculator, runway calculator, deadline calendar, eligibility checklist, proposal outline generator, letter of support template and a glossary.
**Paid plans.** Pro is $39 a month and Lifetime is $97 one-time. A free account lets you save grants, track their status (Researching, Applying, Applied, Awarded, Declined) and get deadline reminders by email. Both paid plans unlock funder contacts, personalised matches in full, a "What you'll need" checklist for each saved grant, and new matches in the weekly digest.
A few things GrantSift will never do: take a cut of any award, charge you to apply, or promise you will be funded. Applying through official portals is always free, and the funder makes the decision.
I'd love your feedback, especially on regions or student programs you want covered next.
