Wireless photo transfer and remote shutter for Ricoh GR II, III, IIIx, and IV. Browse the camera roll, save JPG and DNG to Photos, shoot from your iPhone over Wi-Fi.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I shoot a Ricoh GR III, a small camera that street photographers love. The hardware is wonderful, but getting a day of photos onto my phone was the most frustrating part of owning it, so I built the app I wished existed.
What GR Snap does:
- One tap wakes the camera over Bluetooth and joins its Wi-Fi. Saved cameras reconnect automatically.
- Browse the whole card as a grid. RAW+JPEG pairs show as one photo. Download single shots or whole batches at original quality.
- Downloads run in the background. Switch apps or lock your phone, and progress shows right on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
- The GR has no flip screen, so GR Snap turns your phone into one: live view, tap to focus, full exposure control synced with the camera.
It's free right now while it's young. It will be a one-time purchase (~$9) later, no subscription.
The Ricoh GR community on Reddit has been testing it for two weeks across all camera models, and their feedback shaped the last two releases. If you shoot a GR, I'd love to hear yours too.
Thanks for checking it out, and happy to answer anything.
