Most GPS apps either record tracks or let you edit them. GPxplore does both, on your device, as plain GPX files in a folder you choose. Built for hikers, cyclists and city walkers. Record with one tap, edit every point, analyse your stats, and explore a fog of war map that clears as you move. Works with Garmin, Strava and Komoot files. No account, no subscription, no cloud.
I'm not a developer. I work in sales. But I'm obsessed with hiking and city walking, and I couldn't find a single Android app that both records GPS tracks and lets you edit them afterwards. So I built one myself.
GPxplore stores everything as standard GPX files in a folder you choose. No account, no cloud, no subscription. It works with any GPX file from any app or device.
It started as a personal tool and grew from there. Fog of war, heatmap, elevation correction, recording presets, a full track editor. Most of what's in it came from people telling me what was missing.
Happy to answer any questions and I have a few promo codes for the Pro version if anyone wants to try it.
