Traveling in China often means leaving behind the apps you normally rely on. Google Maps and Google Search may not work as expected, and switching between maps, translators, trip planners and local apps can quickly become frustrating. GoWhere AI brings these essentials together — helping international travelers find the right places, plan practical trips, understand local information and travel more easily. It’s like having a local guide by your side throughout your journey in China.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
We built GoWhere AI after realizing that traveling in China can be much more complicated than expected for international visitors.
Many of the apps travelers normally rely on, such as Google Maps and Google Search, may not work as expected in China. At the same time, local maps and services are primarily designed for Chinese users and often provide limited support for foreign languages. Finding the correct destination using only a foreign-language place name can be extremely difficult, especially for places that are not famous landmarks. Travelers often end up switching between maps, translation apps, trip planners, notes, and various local services just to get through a normal day.
That’s exactly the problem I wanted GoWhere AI to solve.
GoWhere AI brings the essential parts of traveling in China into one place: finding the right destinations across languages, building practical itineraries you can actually follow, understanding menus and local information, and quickly finding useful nearby services when you need them.
The goal is simple: make traveling in China easier and more approachable for international visitors — almost like having a local guide by your side throughout the journey.
This is our first release, and there is still a lot we want to improve. I’d especially love to hear from international travelers:
What has been the most frustrating part of planning a trip to China or traveling here?
Thanks for checking out GoWhere AI! 🙌
