GoWaly is a Nigerian fraud-intelligence and prevention platform developed by Lattice Technologies Ltd., dedicated to helping individuals and businesses make safer, more informed digital transactions.

I'm excited to finally introduce what we've been building!
Having spent years working in the fintech space, there's one problem I've seen repeatedly: fraud.
As financial technology continues to evolve, sending money has become incredibly easy. But knowing whether you're sending it to the right person, or someone with a history of fraudulent activities, isn't always as straightforward.
I've seen how fraud affects people, not just financially, but emotionally. The frustration, the loss of trust, and the feeling that there was probably something they could have done differently.
And one question kept coming back to me: What if people could learn from other people's experiences before becoming victims themselves? That question eventually led to GoWaly.
What is GoWaly?
GoWaly is a community-powered fraud-intelligence platform developed by Lattice Technologies Ltd. We're building a place where people can access information that helps them make more informed financial decisions.
Today, we have two features live:
Check Bank Account: Search Nigerian bank accounts for existing fraud reports before making a transfer.
Report Fraud: Share your experience with fraudulent activities so that someone else might recognize the warning signs before it's too late.
We're also working on our API, which will allow businesses and other platforms to integrate our fraud-intelligence capabilities, and a mobile app to make GoWaly more accessible.
We're doing more than building a product. We believe fraud prevention starts with awareness.
That's why we've created a blog where we write about emerging fraud schemes, cybersecurity, financial safety, consumer protection, regulatory developments, and real-life incidents.
We also publish original comics that use storytelling, mystery, and relatable characters to educate people about fraud in a way that's engaging and easy to understand.
We'd love your feedback!
We're still early in our journey, and we're here to learn as much as we're here to share.
I'd particularly love to hear your thoughts on:
Would you check an account for fraud reports before sending money?
What information would make a fraud-intelligence platform more useful or trustworthy to you?
If you're building a fintech product, would access to community-reported fraud intelligence be valuable to your business?
We're building GoWaly because we believe that the more we know, the harder it becomes for fraud to thrive.
