Hi hunters! I am Matt, a founder of the Gougou app. Today, together with my friend David, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our app on Product Hunt! Gougou is an expenditure tracking app that allows you to add your expenditures individually as you spend money and group them into custom categories. Subsequently, you can browse the in-app reports and charts to let you better understand how your expenses add up with every purchase throughout the day. Since both of us live in Taiwan, where cash transactions are still common, keeping track of money is a little tough. Therefore, a convenient way to note down your daily expenses is a must when you strive for optimized life habits. However, if you rely mainly on electronic payments, don’t worry! In the future, Gougou app will track the transactions in your bank account with your consent. Moreover, paying with cash involves different thinking processes than when we’re using digital payment methods. The rapid pace of evolving technology easily bypasses our self-control behaviors. Contactless payments and online transactions make us spend more than we are willing to. As a result, we may feel anxious when we check our account balance. Seems like the human consciousness has not yet fully grasped the idea of virtual currency stored in the cloud. You might be curious about the relationship between dogs and saving money… Dogs symbolize honesty and protection, the qualities supporting you on the journey to your financial freedom. Besides that, dogs are a man’s best friend and they are cute too! We’d like to ask you for your feedback, especially what shall we improve in terms of the existing features. The most important for us are your insights regarding the PWA technology and the speech recognition feature: Do you think that the PWA technology has a future? Is a native mobile application critical to you? How do you feel about the speech recognition feature?
