A free alternative to Postman, Insomnia and Bruno that needs no account. REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSocket, Socket.IO and MQTT in one app, with collections saved as plain files you can commit. The desktop app, web app and CLI run the same Go engine, so a CI run matches what you saw while testing. Secrets stay in your own manager, and an MCP server lets coding agents send saved requests with values redacted. MIT licensed.

Hi, I'm the maker of Gostman. I wanted an API client I could use without an account or cloud sync, so I built one. It covers REST, GraphQL, gRPC (reflection or .proto files), WebSocket, Socket.IO and MQTT, and the desktop app, the web app and the CLI all run on the same Go request engine, so a collection behaves the same in each.
Collections are plain YAML files you can commit. Secrets come from your own manager (Vault, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, KeePassXC, 1Password, Bitwarden). gostman run runs a collection with its checks in CI. An MCP server lets coding agents send saved requests with secret values redacted and calls limited to an allowlist of hosts.
It is MIT licensed: https://github.com/kunalgoesbyken/gostman
I'd like to hear what is missing for your workflow.
