Google Pics is Workspace-native AI image creation and editing, built on Nano Banana. Generate from a prompt or import from Drive/Photos, then refine with object-level edits, in-image text edit/translate, upscaling, and multi-gen options. Edit inline in Docs and Slides (Drive soon), and collaborate with shared links like the rest of Workspace. Try it at pics.new.
Google just put Nano Banana into a Workspace-native image app. Create and edit in one place, then keep the visual where the work already is in Docs and Slides without bouncing out to another tool.
Object-level edits are what stood out for me. Select one thing in the image, change it, and leave everything else alone instead of regenerating the whole frame.
In-image text is similarly precise. You can edit or translate copy inside the graphic without wrecking the layout around it.
Collab works like the rest of Docs. Share a link and edit the visual together with your team.
