People seem generally upset with dating these days. Existing platforms are for-profit - they prioritize engagement and profits above building real human connections. This makes sense if your goal is to maximize profit. Diving in further, most dating platforms are owned by Match Group (Match, OkCupid, Hinge, Tinder, Pof, and more) and so I felt a strong need to displace this. Working with counselors and singles, we formed a nonprofit and built a app that we believe beats the competition.
