GlutenScanning is an indie iOS app from LyteFast (Paris). Scan a product barcode or snap a photo of your meal, and it flags gluten plus 60+ allergens using Open Food Facts data. No account needed, and Apple's privacy label says Data Not Collected. It is not a restaurant finder: it helps you check what is actually in the food in front of you, in seconds, at the store or at the table.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Stephane, indie iOS dev at LyteFast in Paris.
A friend with celiac disease spends ages squinting at ingredient lists in supermarkets, so I built GlutenScanning. Scan a barcode or take a photo of your meal and it flags gluten plus 60+ other allergens, using Open Food Facts data.
Two things I cared about: no account (open it and scan, that's it) and no data collection at all — the Apple privacy label says Data Not Collected.
To be clear about what it isn't: it's not a restaurant finder. It's about checking the actual product or plate in front of you.
Happy to hear what allergens or flows you'd want next.
