GitSync is a Chrome extension that copies a branch from one GitHub repo to another you have access to β with full commit history or just the latest snapshot, into an existing or brand-new branch. Runs entirely in your browser; no GitSync server sees your code.

GitSync
Hey Product Hunt π I'm @parthsanepara , an embedded firmware engineer.
I kept running into the same chore: moving a branch from one GitHub repo to another β a client's repo to my fork, a private mirror to a delivery repo, a template into a new project. Every time it meant cloning locally, adding remotes, and pushing by hand.
GitSync does that from the browser:
β’ Pick a source repo + branch and a target repo you can write to
β’ Choose full history or latest commit only
β’ Push into an existing branch or create a new one
On privacy: sign-in uses GitHub's OAuth device flow, and full-history syncs run git over HTTPS directly from your browser to GitHub. There's no GitSync backend in the middle, and your code never touches my servers.
GitLab support is next on the roadmap. I'd love to hear what workflows you'd use this for and what's missing. Ask me anything!
