GitHub is fantastic because it seamlessly integrates version control, collaboration, and automation into one unified developer platform. It not only makes code sharing effortless but also enables teams to work transparently, efficiently, and at scale. The ecosystem around pull requests, CI/CD, code review, and community contributions elevates the entire development workflow and empowers engineers to build better software together.
Started using GitHub recently for my projects. The product is brilliant - version control finally makes sense. The UI is clean, Actions for CI/CD is powerful.
What impressed me most: push code, collaborate with anyone, deploy anywhere. It just works.
Can't imagine building without it now.
GitHub is the backbone of my development workflow. As a front-end developer, I use it daily to collaborate with my team, manage code, and track changes across projects. Its version control and issue tracking features make teamwork seamless, and the integration with other tools saves me a lot of time. Whether it’s reviewing pull requests or sharing code, GitHub keeps everything organized and efficient. I highly recommend it for any developer or tech team!
GitHub gives you the strongest developer network, clean PR workflows, CI/CD with Actions, and a real boost from Copilot. Downsides: Actions can be slow or pricey at scale, org permissions get messy, and big monorepos need work. Compared to GitLab you trade deeper built-in DevSecOps for ecosystem and adoption. Net: the safest default for most teams.
