Hey Product Hunt 👋
I kept starring repos “for later” and ended up with a graveyard of hundreds I’d never open again.
GitHub only allow unstaring one repo at a time.
So I built GitHub Unstar: a local-only web UI on top of the GitHub CLI.
What it does
List, search & filter starred repos
Multi-select → bulk unstar
Sort by starred date, name, stars, last push
Localhost only
Uses your existing gh auth — no OAuth, no cloud, no tokens on a server

would love a search or filter bar so i can narrow down to specific repos before unstarring them in bulk, especially when my starred list is huge.
hi @rclaire_liang, the web ui do have search function, you can just type the name of the repo, then select individual repo that you want to unstar.
Love how clean the local web UI is. Spinning up something this focused with the gh CLI instead of overbuilding it shows real restraint.
