Hi Product Hunters! š
App 10/31 of HACKTOBER - GitHub Analytics Dashboard for team visibility!
What it does:
Today we built an app that tracks GitHub analytics to give you a snapshot of how your tech team moves. Before anyone jumps in, yes, we know the number of commits or lines of code doesn't define a developer's performance. But this gives a fascinating view of team rhythm, pace, flow, and the patterns that make engineering teams tick.
This dashboard shows:
- Number of releases by week
- Leaderboard of PRs per developer
- Open PRs
- Stale PRs (open > 1 week)
- Branches
- Stale branches (no commits > 1 week)
- Average time to close PRs
- Closed & merged PRs per week
Why we built this:
The more we build, the more we realize that visibility isn't about control. It's about clarity, and clarity drives better teamwork.
How we did it:
Using Pythagora (an AI coding tool), we went from idea to deployed app:
- Built GitHub integration
- Created dashboard metrics and visualizations
- Added release tracking
- Set up MongoDB database
- Deployed live and open sourced!
Features:
š GitHub integration
š¾ MongoDB database
š Dashboard metrics
š Release tracking
š„ļø Admin dashboard
