I spent a year researching/pitching/creating Wrapped campaigns and the majority are money burners with little results. To show how much the boundaries can be pushed, I made an unofficial one for GitHub. Every wrapped campaign should clear three bars: 1. Will the user share it? (Is it interesting? Are they proud or surprised?) 2. Will their friends engage with it? (Does it work for people who aren't the subject?) 3. Will algorithms promote it? (Video wins – which was expensive until Web Codecs API made client-side rendering viable) GitHub Compiled tackles all three. You build your shareable by placing components on a breadboard (A nod to Resident Evil inventory management), add your own hot takes on AI and web dev goals, and export a video designed to perform on social media. Being unofficial, I'm constrained by public GitHub APIs, but I think it shows what's possible when you stop treating these as static data dumps.
