I built Wenyi because translating a sentence is easy for modern LLMs, but translating an entire book consistently is still hard.
Unlike simple paragraph-by-paragraph translation, Wenyi focuses on whole-book consistency—keeping character names, terminology, relationships, references, and writing style coherent across thousands of passages. It analyzes the book’s style and context before translation and uses that information throughout the workflow to reduce common long-form translation errors.
The goal is simple: make AI literary translation more coherent, readable, and faithful, while keeping humans in control of the final result.
