I'm Paul Gardiner, the maker of GitGlue. I wanted to share the story behind why we built this.
Why I Built GitGlue: In previous roles, I saw firsthand how much time we wasted on manual GitOps tasks and how fragile our repos were. A simple mistake or a security lapse could have catastrophic consequences. I wanted to build a tool that not only automates these tedious tasks but also provides a safety net against human error and malicious threats.
What's New & Unique: The magic of GitGlue is bringing AI-powered security and automation directly to your command line. Most tools in this space are either complex, web-based platforms or siloed solutions. We've combined immutable backups, real-time AI security scanning, and smart commit messages into a single, intuitive CLI. It's the first time you can get this level of enterprise-grade protection and automation without ever leaving your terminal.
What I'm Most Proud Of: I'm most proud of the immutable backup system. We've engineered it to be an unbreakable failsafe for your codebase. Knowing that every commit is automatically secured in a way that can’t be deleted or compromised gives me and our early users true peace of mind. It’s the feature I wish I'd had on every project.
