I've been building Git Lineage alone and I can't help but admit I'm a bit nervous about sharing it with the community!
I suppose I'm a bit wary of negative feedback, but even more wary of chirping crickets, so please feel free to discuss things you like, things you hate, and things you wish it could do.
Hello PH and thanks so much for trying out Git Lineage, an idea that's been kicking around since falling in love with the wonderful Timelapse View in Perforce when working in the games industry.
Git Lineage was built using the principles of "Better Software" to be lean, performant and focused on doing one thing well. It complements your existing tools and enables you to do some things you didn't think were possible!
I couldn't resist adding sound effects and graphical glitches to give that true "hacker in a 90s movie" vibe. All completely optional, of course :)
Git Lineage is coded in C++ and uses SDL3 and Dear ImGui.
In the next release you'll be able to tap "P" to toggle the background hum when sound effects are enabled. Although I personally like it I can understand why some people might find it annoying!
