I made this Chrome extension while exploring better ways to help sourcers find great engineers. I can understand why LinkedIn is the first go-to for engineering talent, but it doesn't actually make sense. Anyone can put anything on a LinkedIn profile. Sourcers typically look for the same high-level keywords. And there are hundreds of thousands of profiles that look the same. With this, a good sourcer can identify a target repository related to a niche skillset they need, and find engineers based on what they specifically did for that project. Does every engineer want to be found - no. But it sure feels a lot different when a sourcer has done their research and can explain why you're important to them.
