Gimlet is a live classroom quiz game that makes learning fun and engaging. Students compete in a game-show like environment and teachers get back valuable data on how their students are doing. Gimlet was made entirely by high schools students from Seattle.

My granddaughter has been using this in her online public school class. Here are two extremely annoying aspects when this is being used live with all of the students participating......One: That Shop button just above the Continue button increases the chances of hitting it when trying to answer questions quickly, which then produces a wrong answer. The fact that other players can win because they earned more $ by hitting the Shop button to get more $ instead of students who actually get all answers correct is a huge flaw. It's not as clean of a design as the other reviewers have stated. If you clean those items up, it would be awesome. Thanks

@thesameerk Great question! There's a lot of things that makes Gimlet different -Everything lives on the student's device, meaning the questions and answers. This allows students to go at their own pace instead of rushing which often occurs with Kahoot -Strategy. In our game, there is a bit of strategy to make gameplay more interesting. Students can purchase upgrades to earn money faster. There are over 4,000 different combinations at launch -Statistics -- from our testing, in the same length of time, students answer 4x the amount of questions as Kahoot. This gives us a lot more data to give back to teachers on how their students are doing -Ease of use: Through Gimlet Fusion, we have 150 million Quizlets which can be converted instantly into Gimlets

Gimkit is such an inspiring project — I love seeing how a fun, game-based approach can make learning so much more engaging for students. The fact that it was created entirely by high school students is amazing! 🎓🎮 When I’m taking a break from work or exploring new educational tools, I enjoy playing Doodle Cricket 🏏. It’s a light, nostalgic game that’s perfect for a quick mental refresh.
