Hey ProductHunt! 👋I built GiftHive because I kept falling into the same trap every birthday/holiday: scroll Amazon for an hour, second-guess every option, end up buying a gift card. The "AI gift finders" I tried were all search boxes with a chatbot glued on — they matched keywords, not people.So I flipped the input. Instead of "show me gifts under $50", you answer a 30-second quiz about who the gift is for — relationship, age, interests, occasion, budget — and get back a ranked shortlist of real Amazon products with a "why this fits" explanation on each card.A few things I'm proud of:• Route-aware exit-intent modal — it stays silent on /quiz and /results so it never interrupts the funnel mid-flow. That bug cost me ~15% of quiz completions before I caught it.• Transparent ranking: weighted score of tag overlap + budget match + occasion match. No ML model, just clean tagging.• Every product link runs through getAmazonUrl() which forces the affiliate tag, so clicks always register in the Associates dashboard.What I'd love feedback on:1. The quiz flow — does 30 seconds feel right, or too long?2. Quality of recommendations — try a "hard to shop for" recipient and tell me if the picks actually fit.3.
