Hey everyone 👋
Every "who unfollowed me" app I found wanted my Instagram password. That's the part nobody says out loud: those apps log in as you and scrape your account at machine speed — which is exactly the behaviour Instagram's spam detection exists to catch. The account that gets action-blocked is yours, not theirs.
[one line on what made you go looking — a follower drop, a client account, whatever's actually true]
So GhostList doesn't ask. Instagram already gives you a complete export of your followers and following — it's a setting inside the app, no third party involved. You request the file, and GhostList reads it in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, no login, nothing for Instagram to flag.
It shows who doesn't follow you back, who's new, and — once you've uploaded twice — exactly who left in between.
Two honest things:
Your first upload can't show unfollowers. Instagram deletes the connection when someone unfollows rather than archiving it, so nothing anywhere can reconstruct the past. Any tool claiming otherwise is guessing. Tracking starts the day you start.
Getting the file takes ~2 minutes plus a wait — Instagram emails it, usually within 30 minutes. There's a step-by-step walkthrough with screenshots for phone and desktop, because their menu is genuinely buried.
Free to try, works in 5 languages. I built it solo and I'm around all day — tell me what's confusing or missing.
