Ghostable is a desktop-first environment variable and secrets management platform for modern engineering teams. Review, edit, validate, and share config across projects; track version history, roll back bad changes, and audit every update. Encryption happens on trusted clients (zero-knowledge), while the CLI and deploy tokens power CI/CD automation across Laravel, Node, Python, Ruby, and Go.

I built Ghostable after years of running a security education company (Curricula), which was later acquired. That experience made one thing painfully clear: teams everywhere struggle to handle secrets cleanly, consistently, and safely — no matter what language or platform they use.
Ghostable started as a Laravel experiment, but it’s grown into something much bigger: a zero-knowledge, cross-platform home for your environment variables. Every secret is encrypted on your device, every key stays local, and the server never sees anything but ciphertext. The CLI handles syncing, diffing, validation, history, permissions, and deploy workflows across any stack — Laravel, Node, Python, Go, whatever you’re building.
What I’m most proud of is merging deep security principles with a developer-first workflow. No dashboards full of plaintext secrets. No copy-pasting values into Slack. Just a fast, minimal CLI that makes teams more secure without getting in their way.
If that sounds like the kind of tooling you wish existed… that’s exactly why I built it.
