Ghost Sims

GhostSims was created out of a growing frustration with how exposed mobile users have become. Traditional SIM cards broadcast your IMEI, reveal your IMSI, and hand over personal data to carriers — creating a system where your movements, calls, and digital footprint can easily be tracked, profiled, or intercepted. We wanted to build something fundamentally different: a SIM card designed from the ground up to protect identity, not harvest it. The inspiration came from real people — journalists, activists, professionals, and privacy-focused individuals — who needed a dependable way to communicate without leaving a trail. During development, we realized the problem wasn’t just surveillance; it was the complete lack of secure, user-friendly alternatives. That pushed us to refine every part of the experience: eliminating IMEI broadcasting, enabling dynamic IMSI switching, incorporating PGP encryption, and removing personal data from the onboarding process entirely. Over time, the project evolved from a privacy experiment into a fully engineered communication solution. The goal stayed the same: give users a simple, reliable, anonymous way to stay connected. GhostSims exists to restore control back to the user — because privacy shouldn’t require technical expertise, and anonymity shouldn’t feel impossible.
