You launch a PC game and it's way too loud. GGKeeper detects the game when it starts, begins a little quieter, measures its loudness, and turns that game down in the Windows mixer, so loud games come down to your usual level. Free, for Windows 11.

Hi everyone, I'm yoruhinot, a solo developer in Japan.
I made GGKeeper because I was tired of this: you launch a PC game, and it's SO LOUD. Every game has a different volume, and fixing it by hand each time got old.
What it does:
• Detects a game when it starts. No setup per game.
• Starts a little quieter, measures the loudness, then sets that game's volume. It adjusts only right after launch and then stays fixed, so the game's own dynamics are untouched.
• "Chat mode" makes the current game even quieter with one key, for when you want to talk.
What it doesn't do:
• It doesn't inject into games or touch their files or memory. It only moves that game's volume in the Windows volume mixer.
• It doesn't record or send audio.
• It doesn't change the system volume, other apps, or the microphone.
It's free, for Windows 11, and on the Microsoft Store. It's closed source.
GGKeeper helps lower volume. It does not guarantee hearing protection.
I'd love to hear which games it works well with, and which ones it doesn't.
