We used GetStream for one of our projects (For a large enterprise). As the client expected higher traffic, we had opted for their $499 plan. But due to a bug and a spike in traffic from enterprise, we had continuous API calls and they had a surcharge on us ($3K) within 1 day.
However, we didn't expect this traffic and couldn't make this payment within 1 week; they disabled this app keys and blacked out our application. This had top management-level escalation. They din't even send us a notice that it would happen.
Due to no empathy towards their customers, we have moved to other services.
