GETITDONE

A wallpaper app that acts as a to-do list

Everyone checks their phone. Is it for messages, instagram or just to for notifications. If you really want to be productive this app is the way to go. It creates wallpapers out of your tasks, so you’ll see your to-do list every time you check your phone.

Just bought it as it seemed interesting. Turns out all it does is take a screenshot of your To-do list. How is this better than screenshotting any other To-do list?

As cool as this idea is, in the description it points out "** This app does not change wallpapers automatically." which is the kicker of why this app is going to cause too much friction. I'm actually VERY surprised to see this wasn't just built on Android first which DOES allow the wallpapers to be automatically changed/set by apps. The limitation of that not being a thing on iOS really kills the app for me. But this would be perfect for Android, and way less friction.

@bluetidepro Thanks for your feedback. It was first made for iOS because me and my friend both use iOS devices. So it made sense to create the first version for our own use. And if we like it, share it with others. I know it's a bit clunky that you have to make it as a wallpaper manually. But if you're not even willing to do these few button presses then I doubt that you truly WANT to be productive in your life :D

@bluetidepro @peep_ hmm... that's not really how ux works. Those "few button presses" do add noise to the experience. The ideia is really good, but Zach has a good point here.

Not listed in the UK app store 🙄

@batmanc Hi, the app should be available everywhere. It is strange that the app store failed to take you to the right place, in any case here is the UK link. https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/ge...

@sandervend That worked, thank you! Searching for it doesn't bring it up

So you liked my personal amusement project? https://jeffbayer.com/work/done/

@designmonkey This looks like how this should work. I'd pay for that one if/when you launch
Design Monkey
@oakley_dye rejected by apple store because it's "too simple".

Hey y'all product hunters! With my friend we made this really simple productivity app that helps you to reach your goals. I started testing it out by adding text onto photos in iOS and then adding it as my wallpaper. Had to edit that photo manually every time I completed a task. Marked it done with checkmark emoji and so on. Pain in the ass but helped me to be crazy productive. Now GETITDONE makes it way easier. Hint: Remember to create new to-do list before going to sleep. That way you can start being productive as the day starts. (We will soon add notifications that remind you every night to write down to-do list for the next day.) Also I need to note that: * This app does not change wallpapers automatically. (Apple doesn’t allow to use that feature in third party apps.) It will create new wallpaper and open up gallery automatically every time you press 'Save' in-app. You'll have to add it as a lockscreen wallpaper manually. It literally takes you 3 seconds to do. Not a big price to pay for your productivity. * Wallpaper is not interactive - you cannot change tasks nor mark it done on phone wallpaper. You have to open app and save new wallpaper for every change. * We will add new features soon: - Custom background photo - Clear list / Clear tasks marked as 'Done' - Calendar (Day-to-day swipes)

Is this coming for Android?
Peep
@brad_darb We're thinking about it. If we do release it on Android, then we'll post it on ProductHunt!

Good idea. To-do list made as simple as it can be :). Did you build it as a native iOS/Android app, or did you use some framework like React Native or Flutter?
Sander Rõuk
@alexdevero The app is built natively for iOS using Swift. Currently there is no Android app yet but we are working on it.
