Hey Product Hunt! š
I'm Usman, a developer from Karachi, Pakistan ā and I built GetCodeReviews out of pure frustration.
A while back I was working on a client project and a SQL injection vulnerability made it to production. It wasn't caught during code review because we were all tired, moving fast, and nobody noticed the string concatenation in the query builder. The fix took 10 minutes. The embarrassment lasted much longer.
The problem wasn't skill. It was that good code review requires focus and patience that nobody has at the end of a sprint. I watched senior developers miss critical security issues not because they didn't know better ā but because they were on their 15th PR of the day.
I wanted a tool that catches the obvious stuff automatically so human reviewers can focus on the hard architectural decisions.
So I built GetCodeReviews.
What started as a simple "paste code, get review" tool evolved into something much bigger as I kept running into more problems:
ā I needed to review entire repos, not just snippets ā so I built GitHub repo review
ā I wanted bad code blocked before it merged ā so I built CI/CD quality gates
ā I got tired of switching to a browser tab ā so I built the VS Code extension with inline diagnostics just like ESLint
ā I wanted to see if I was actually improving ā so I built analytics and trend tracking
ā My team needed shared visibility ā so I built team workspaces
Every single feature exists because I personally felt the pain of not having it.
The thing I'm most proud of: GetCodeReviews does things that ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot simply cannot do. You can't paste a 50-file repo into ChatGPT. You can't make ChatGPT automatically fail your GitHub Actions build. You can't get ESLint-style inline squiggles from a chatbot.
Free tier is 10 reviews/month ā no card needed. Would genuinely love your feedback, your harshest criticism, and your bug reports.
What would make this actually useful in your daily workflow? š
