I run a small marketing firm in Greenville, SC. Before that I owned and grew two small businesses of my own, so I have been on both sides of this.
Earlier this year we scored 11,534 South Carolina business profiles by hand to see how ready they were to be found on Google and recommended by AI assistants. The result was worse than we expected. Most were invisible for the search that defines their business, and not one was fully ready to be recommended by an AI tool. The full study is at research.louislynnco.com if you want the data.
The problem is that no owner can see this about themselves. You cannot Google yourself objectively, and you certainly cannot tell whether ChatGPT is recommending your competitor instead of you.
So we put the same benchmarks into a browser extension. Click the icon on any business site and you get a visibility score in a second: likely Google ranking, whether AI tools would surface it, and how its Google Business Profile stacks up against others in the same category. Set what one new customer is worth and the estimate adjusts to show real revenue at stake instead of a vanity number.
