We want to help traditional local community businesses gain access to tech, e-commerce, working capital and a bit more starting by selling gallon water, gas and rice. Traditional stores in Indonesia are own by the un-bankable, where all transactions are cash while majority of households have difficulty in accessing these stores at particular time when their necessities for water, gas and rice run out. Geraiku's stores will then deliver the ordered items within 3km radius to the buyer.
Sounds a bit corny for some, but these micro businesses (more than 3 million of them) are often over looked here in Indonesia. At least with Geraiku, their store is now online, they are connected, have access to micro loan, access to business knowledge (via our mentor partners) and access to buyers in the community.
