GeoGuessr Boost is a Chrome extension for GeoGuessr and OpenGuessr practice or private rounds. Press G in a supported round to see the location, open a map preview, and optionally place the pin. Free users get starter guesses and daily use; Pro adds unlimited use, Smart Zoom, Range, and Auto Place controls. Independent product, not affiliated with GeoGuessr.

Hey Product Hunt!
I built GeoGuessr Boost after getting hooked on GeoGuessr and realizing I wanted a faster way to practice, check locations, and keep private rounds moving.
The flow is intentionally simple:
1. Open a supported GeoGuessr or OpenGuessr round
2. Press G
3. See the location, map preview, and optionally place the pin
Free users get starter guesses and daily use. Pro adds unlimited use, Smart Zoom, Range, and Auto Place controls.
A few notes:
- GeoGuessr Boost is an independent Chrome extension, not affiliated with GeoGuessr
- It’s built for practice, testing, and private rounds
- The extension currently supports GeoGuessr and OpenGuessr rounds where the location can be detected reliably
I’d love feedback from GeoGuessr players, Chrome extension builders, and anyone who enjoys geography games:
What would make this more useful for practice or private rounds?
love how pressing G just instantly overlays the map preview without breaking the flow of the round, super clean execution
@z_ezgi10358 Thank you, Ezgi! That was exactly the goal – keep the round flow intact and make the helper feel like a quick overlay, not a separate tool you have to switch into.
I’m trying to keep the “press G → get context → continue” loop as frictionless as possible.
The smart zoom and range controls sound like a really thoughtful touch for practicing tricky regions, you can tell someone who actually plays put this together.
@sisli70246 Thanks, Ercan! Really appreciate that.
Smart Zoom and Range came from exactly that use case: practicing tricky regions without making every round feel like a full manual map search. I’m trying to keep the flow fast, but still useful for learning patterns over time.
