I built GEO Audit after watching a friend lose a major client to a competitor that didn't exist a year ago. The client told her: "Your competitor shows up in every AI search result. You don't."
She checked. The competitor had paid a GEO vendor $8,000 to "optimize" their AI presence — forum spam, fake Q&A, AI-generated blog posts. It worked. The AI engines believed it.
