Hey everyone, Nic here! I am thrilled to present to you GenDB: The AI-powered Backend Builder. I initially started this project after I saw numerous posts online about how modern AI tools, such as Lovable, excel at front-end development, but have shortcomings when it comes to the back-end. Coupled with my frustrations of having to write huge amounts of code to translate my database designs from dbdiagram.io to Python code using TortoiseORM, I decided to build a tool that could do the same amount of work but in less time, allowing me to focus more on the database itself rather than the boilerplate needed to create it.
