GearMate is a macOS menu-bar app that puts a stick shift on your live Claude Code session. Throw the lever into a gate and it sends /model to your tmux pane, so the next prompt runs on that model: Haiku for quick errands, Sonnet as the daily driver, Opus for heavy lifting, Opus Plan in 5th. R takes you back to your default. Remap gears, shift from the menu bar, preview with dry run. Needs tmux + Claude Code. Independent, not affiliated with Anthropic.
