What's great

I’ve been running Gate AI in front of my agents and it’s been excellent. Strong real-time protection against prompt injection and data leaks, plus it logs everything to a tamper-proof audit trail on Constellation’s Digital Evidence. Thhat verifiable record is the part most other tools are missing, on top of that I’m seeing real token savings from the compression and caching. Drop-in setup, works with what I already use, and finally gives me proof instead of just promises. Less hype, more actual utility!

What needs improvement

It’s still very early, so I’d like to see more production usage data and real-world case studies over the next few weeks.the audit log visibility could be stronger, and more detailed examples for complex agent setups would be helpful. Nothing major....just the normal growing pains of a new product.

vs Alternatives

Lakera

Looked at Lakera Guard and a few other guardrail options. Most focus mainly on detection. IMO, Gate AI stands out because it combines strong detection with an immutable, on-chain audit trail via Digital Evidence and actual token optimization on top.

The “prove what your AI did” angle is the real differentiator for anything heading toward production or regulated environments.

What's great

the token compression actually works without touching prompt wording, which was my main worry going in. saw a real drop in per-call cost on a project with a lot of repeated tool call context, and the answers stayed consistent before and after turning it on.

What needs improvement

the benchmark claims (like "#1 across 16 datasets") would land better with a third-party leaderboard link next to the self-published numbers, even if the methodology is solid. right now you have to dig through the blog post to get the full context.
