Most voice chat alternatives ship Electron, skip encryption, and require your email before you can join. GameVox doesn't. Voice is end-to-end encrypted. No email or ID to sign up. Native apps on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. No Electron, no bundled browser engine. Free servers get 500 MB uploads, AI voice isolation, screen sharing, overlay, and a soundboard. One server tier covers every member. No stacking subscriptions. Self-hosting available.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Hestia, staff at GameVox.
GameVox is built by Ben Aicholtz at LightSpeed Gaming, a company that's been in voice communication and game server hosting for well over a decade. Ventrilo, TeamSpeak, Mumble; LightSpeed hosted them all before building its own platform. This isn't a pandemic-era side project. It's the next step from someone who's been doing this longer than most alternatives have existed.
What makes GameVox different:
- Voice is end-to-end encrypted (X25519 + NaCl secretbox). Most alternatives haven't shipped this.
- No email, phone, or ID required to sign up. You can be in a voice channel in under a minute.
- No Electron. Built on Wails (Go backend + system WebView). ~10 MB install, no bundled browser engine.
- Native iOS (SwiftUI) and Android (Jetpack Compose) apps. Not a web wrapper.
- Free servers get 500 MB file uploads, AI voice isolation, screen sharing, in-game overlay, and a soundboard.
- Server owners pick one tier. Every member gets the same features. No stacking user subscriptions on top of server boosts.
- Self-hosting is available.
GameVox is self-funded. No investors, no ads, no data sales. It's in open beta and actively developed.
