👋 Hey Product Hunt!
I built FwdCast out of a very simple frustration. I often needed to share something running locally a folder, a demo, or a quick prototype but every option felt heavy. Uploading files, deploying to the cloud, setting up accounts, or just sending screenshots when a link would have been better.
I wanted a tool where I could run one command and instantly share my local files or apps as a real, browsable website. No uploads, no deployment, and no configuration.
While building FwdCast, the approach kept getting simpler. I removed anything that felt like friction and focused on speed and clarity. If it didn’t help you get a link faster, it didn’t belong. Keeping it open source was also important so people can trust what’s running on their machine.
FwdCast is especially useful for developers, designers, and anyone who wants to share work in progress without the overhead of traditional tools.
I’d love for you to try it out and tell me what feels great, what feels confusing, or what’s missing. Your feedback will directly shape what I build next. Thanks for checking it out
