Since our little one was born 8 months ago and during pregnancy, we started to really focus on our budget. However, one issue I always had even with meal planning etc was that the budget apps only showed total weekly spends such as $200 Coles or Woolies! This meant we never saw our actual grocery bill overtime at an item level. So I built a basic app for my own use that I can take a photo of a receipt from Aldi, Coles, Woolies or IGA (Australian stores but no reason why we cannot support more with example reciepts) that categorises the items and then analyses it. That way I can see where I’m spending money and if I have bought junk food 😔 I’ve then linked it to the online stores to alert me when items I often buy are on sale. A number of friends and colleagues asked me to make it available to them, so I’m working on a version for Apple and Android. Thought I would offer you all an opportunity to join the beta in a few weeks time!
