Frigie: Know how many days of food you have left

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Yumo, and I made Frigie. I'm a product designer who taught myself iOS, so this is a one-person app — I designed it, built it, and shipped it alone. It went live about two and a half weeks ago and has roughly 11 downloads, so today is genuinely the first time it meets a real audience. No team, no PR, just me and a comment box. Here's the itch I was scratching: I kept buying milk we already had, and throwing out spinach we never got to. Expiry dates don't help — they tell you when food can go bad, not when you'll run out. So Frigie flips it. You scan a receipt or a single item (read on-device with Apple Vision), and it counts down how many days of supply you have left for each thing, based on your household's real eating pace. It tops up your shopping list only when you're actually low, suggests recipes from what's in your fridge (with a "use up the oldest first" mode), and flags your allergens across everything. Two things I think are genuinely different: - It's consumption-based, not expiry-date-based. "3 days of milk left" is a number you can act on. - It's private by design — everything is on-device. No account, no cloud, no tracking. The AI runs on your phone. And one thing that's just for fun: the fridge is a sticker board. Every item is a sticker with a countdown ring, and they tumble around when you shake your phone. There are zero-waste streaks, food "rescues," 14 achievements, and a little collection album. A utility app is allowed to be delightful. What I'd love from you: tell me where the "days left" estimate feels wrong, or what you'd scan first.
