A calm, native macOS maintenance app. Five tools in one - clean, uninstall, optimize, analyze and monitor - that show you every file before touching a thing. One-time $9, no subscription, no telemetry.

This started as a tool for me, not a product.
I spin up a lot of projects - even more now that AI makes it cheap to start something new every week - and my Mac was always out of space: dead node_modules folders, build caches, model downloads, Xcode derived data. The cleaners I tried were all the same: bloated with features I'd never touch, locked behind a subscription, or nagging me in the background about "threats." I just wanted to see what was eating my disk and clear the safe stuff without thinking about it.
So I built a lightweight one for myself. It slowly became Freshist: scan for free, see everything explained in plain English, and clean to the Trash - never a permanent wipe. It also uninstalls apps with their leftovers, maps what's eating your disk, and shows live vitals down to fan control.
No tracking, no analytics, no account - your files never leave your Mac. One-time $9 launch price, no subscription.
One thing I'd really like to know: what should a Mac cleaner never do? Half the "features" I saw in other apps are the exact reason I built this one.
Ask me anything - I'll be here all day.
love the no subscription angle and the preview before delete thing is genuinely useful. one thing i'd want is a scheduled scan option so it can quietly run cleanup weekly without me remembering to open it. right now i have to remember to launch it myself which kinda defeats the point for me.
Thank you @kriyeetja no subscription and "see it before it's gone" were the two things I wouldn't compromise on 🙏
Scheduled clean is a fair callout. I deliberately kept Freshist from running in the background by default (part of the no-nagware, no-telemetry thing), which is why it's manual today but an opt-in weekly clean you switch on yourself is a genuinely good idea, and honestly something I'd want too.
Quick one: would you want it fully automatic, or more "scan weekly and ping me to approve" since you clearly value the preview-before-delete part?

Been burned by too many "Mac cleaner" apps that turn into subscription traps or start nagging about fake threats after week one. Love that this one just shows you what's eating space in plain English and lets you decide, no black box, no recurring fee. The uninstall-with-leftovers feature alone is worth the $9. Congrats on the launch, this is exactly the kind of tool that should exist 🙌
@cem_ozcelik This might be my favorite comment today 🙏 "Nagging about fake threats after week one" is exactly the thing I was running from that pattern is the whole reason I built this.
Really glad the uninstall-with-leftovers bit landed too; watching apps leave gigabytes behind was one of the first things that annoyed me into starting.
Thank you 🙌 anything you've wished a cleaner did that you've never actually gotten?
The preview before deleting files is genuinely reassuring, especially for someone who’s accidentally nuked the wrong folder before. One-time $9 feels fair for something this calm and native feeling.
@eslem_ozba24519 "Accidentally nuked the wrong folder" is the exact fear I built around. It's also why cleaning goes to the Trash, never a permanent delete so even if you clear something you didn't mean to, it's still right there.
Thank you for the kind words on the price too 🙏
Curious is there a category you'd want even more detail on before clearing? I'm always trying to make the "what happens if I delete this" part clearer.
