We built the FreeWWW Unicode Character Picker because finding the right symbol or special character often means searching through multiple websites, copying unreliable results, or memorizing complicated keyboard shortcuts.
We started with a simple click-to-copy character library and gradually expanded it to include more than 5,000 characters across 36 categories. We also added search, favorites, recent history, Unicode code points, HTML entities, CSS escapes, keyboard shortcuts, and mobile-friendly controls.
Our goal is to give writers, designers, developers, students, and content creators one fast and reliable place to find any character they need. We would love to hear which characters or categories we should add next!

Finally a character picker that doesn't try to upsell me or hide basic symbols behind a paywall. The category layout and code point display saved me some real time on a project today.

Finally a clean way to dig through Unicode without hitting a million ad-laden sites. The favorites and recent characters feature is genuinely useful for someone like me who keeps reaching for the same weird symbols.

Finally a unicode picker that doesn't force a sign-up just to copy a symbol. The 36 categories make it way faster than digging through random websites when I need that one weird character.
