Job search is broken — every platform is a walled garden with its own exclusive listings. FreeHire is a search engine for jobs: it indexes 3M+ live jobs from 98 ATS platforms and other aggregators into one fast, deduplicated search. Open source, free, no lock-in — and API-first, so an AI agent can search the whole market for you. The goal: make all the world's job data easy to find, for everyone.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm a developer, and I'm job hunting right now — which is exactly why I
built this.
The experience is broken. Half the aggregators block AI agents, so you
can't automate anything. Most force you to register just to look. They
recycle the same jobs over and over. And some actually make you pay just
to see a listing. It's the same market, walled off ten different ways.
So I built FreeHire — not another aggregator, but a search engine for jobs.
It indexes 3M+ live jobs from 98 ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby,
Workday, Personio…) plus the aggregators that hoard exclusive links, and
merges everything into one fast, deduplicated search. One place, the whole
market.
Two things I care about most:
• Open & free. No registration wall, no paywall, no lock-in. The whole
pipeline is on GitHub — you can even self-host it. Job data should be
easy to find for everyone.
• Agent-friendly. It's API-first, so your AI assistant can search the
entire market for you instead of getting blocked site by site.
It's still early and fully open source. I'd love your honest feedback — and
if a job source you use is missing, adding it is usually one small adapter,
so PRs are very welcome 🙏
Happy to answer anything about the crawling, dedup, or the AI fit-analysis!
