Hey All, I built FreeFixPDF because I kept needing to make quick edits to PDFs — a reference letter, a form, a contract — and every free tool wanted me to upload the file to their server first. For anything with personal info in it, that never sat right with me. Everything here runs client-side: rendering (pdf.js) and editing/export (pdf-lib) both happen in your browser. The hardest part turned out to be the "edit existing text" feature — browsers don't expose a PDF's actual font, color, or weight, so I had to sample the rendered pixels directly to match the surrounding text convincingly instead of just slapping a white box over it like most tools do. Free, no account needed. Would love feedback, especially if you hit an edge case — real-world PDFs are messier than you'd think.
