It certainly looks nice, but I'm a bit puzzled about why you would expose this to the Product Hunt community at this stage. There really are too many bugs to use it at all. The date pickers are broken but ignoring that, I couldn't create a 'purchase invoice' because (perhaps) when entering a row the subtotal and grand total don't get updated.
Am I missing something?
@frankgeerlings Hey, thanks for checking it out. Which platform did you install it on? I was able to create a Bill on the latest published version. Also, what do you mean by date pickers are broken? Are you not able to change the date?
@frankgeerlings Thanks for the quick feedback. We have just pushed a new release. You are right, we should have tested better.

@rushabh_mehta4 Is the Mac build of the latest release missing in action? Or is the new release for the other platforms only?

@netchamp_faris I installed it on Windows. The date pickers show the wrong month and every date in the grid is day number 31. Perhaps it's due to my date format settings? Our dates are shaped '31-12-2020'. I haven't looked into it in much detail otherwise.
A feature I like is the default system of accounts that is already in place, very convenient.

Hi there and congrats!
Whats the value proposition vs. all the other accounting/invoicing/finance tools out there? Are bank feeds available?
If its free, how do you plan to ever make money?

@asd_za It's free and open source. They are the creator of ERPNext and they make money selling hosting service for ERPNext and doing consulting services. I recomend you to take a look at ERPNext aswell.

Hey Hunters,
We are excited for our first public launch of Frappe Books. Thanks Kevin for hunting us!
After 2 years of development, we are finally ready to present you Frappe Books. We have been building business software for over 10 years, using that experience, we came up with a simple app for book-keeping for freelancers and small businesses.
Some of features include:
- Invoicing with 3 modern templates
- Financial Reporting (Profit and Loss, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet)
- Double-entry accounting ledger
- Dashboard
- Offline and cross-platform
One of main focus was to build a user-friendly accounting app as an alternative to existing solutions Tally or GNU Cash.
We hope you like it!

Downloaded it on macOS ,tried creating a customer to invoice but each time we key in details it doesn't get stored so it doesn't invoice either without the customer.

Sorry It works I guess we were doing it the wrong way the first times.....Anyway great UI ...
This looks great. GNU Cash has been around for a long time, but it's also a bit dated, so it's great to see a product like this out in the wild.
Quick issue: When setting up the fiscal year, the calendar seems to be messed up in terms of days. Screenshot here: http://cln.sh/amS2vYlGjTOnePxrbjiU
Looking forward to trying it out once I can set this up.
