Frame.io founder here. In Jan 2020 we decided to do the thing that you are most definitely not supposed to do. After being in market for 5 years, we decided to rebuild Frame.io from the ground up. It was bold and it was risky but we knew we could do it. Historically, Frame.io has been the video review and approval platform but our ambition was so much bigger. We realized that while categories like software development had tons of tooling built around work process, the creative industry had none. If you're running creative process, you're probably using horizontal productivity tools that were never designed for you. So, we set out to build the Creative Management System for creative teams. A little over a year into our rebuild, we were acquired by Adobe. That only expanded our mission to not only go deeper into video workflows but also broader across all the creative disciplines. Frame.io V4 is becoming the singular surface for work process and review & approval across the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Version 4 is completely resigned from the ground up. You won't find a single pixel in v4 that exists in v3. It's underpinned by a powerful new metadata model bringing the full power of productivity software into Frame.io. You can now run any workflow you can imagine, right in Frame.io. Whether you're designing a VFX shot tracking workflow, running a casting, managing deliverables for a campaign with hundreds of assets, all of your work process can now live in Frame.io. While our new all new meta data model is the biggest foundational shift, we've also taken this opportunity to refine every feature, big and small. Frame.io version 4 is available today (in beta) across web, iPhone, and iPad to eligible free and Pro Plan users. We will be rolling our version 4 to Team and Enterprise users later this year.
