Foxtown Stats was born out of pure frustration. To put it plainly, I got annoyed after years of juggling a dozen marketing tools as a solo marketer and agency owner and constantly updating custom reports for my clients.
I was running campaigns for small businesses and my own side projects, trying to make sense of performance across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok Ads, Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, HubSpot emails, Yelp reviews, Google Business Profile calls/directions, and more.
Every Monday felt like detective work: logging into 8-10 platforms, screenshotting key numbers, pasting them into a Google Sheet, manually calculating ROAS or trend changes, and hoping nothing broke when a platform updated its UI or API. It took hours, sometimes a full day, just to get a clear picture of what was working. And worse, when a client asked "Why should we keep spending here?" I'd scramble to stitch together proof from fragmented data.
The breaking point came during a particularly chaotic quarter in late 2025. I was managing 9 client accounts, each with different tool stacks. One week, a Meta outage delayed data, Google changed how Search Console exports worked, and a client wanted a quick pivot to local leads, but I couldn't see the full picture fast enough. I wasted an entire weekend rebuilding dashboards in Looker Studio that still felt clunky and incomplete.
That's when I thought: There has to be a better way.
Why isn't there one clean, no-code dashboard that pulls everything marketers actually care about (spend, conversions, traffic, organic rankings, local visibility, leads) into a single view? Not another bloated BI tool for enterprises, but something simple, fast, and built for real people like me.
So I started building Foxtown Stats in early 2026. At first, it was just a weekend MVP: a basic script pulling Google Ads and Analytics into a Streamlit app I hosted locally. It worked okay, but felt limited. As I used it daily for my own work, the process evolved quickly.
Phase 1 was survival mode: Get the core integrations working securely via OAuth (no password storage nightmares). I added Meta Ads and Search Console next because those were my biggest daily pains.
Phase 2 shifted to usability. I realized raw numbers weren't enough. I needed smart comparisons (period-over-period, channel-vs-channel), toggleable charts/tables, flexible date ranges, and trend lines that actually highlighted wins/losses. I iterated weekly based on my own "ugh" moments, like when I wanted to compare last month's local calls to this month's ad spend without exporting CSVs.
Phase 3 was expansion driven by real use: Adding SEMrush for SEO depth, HubSpot for email/CRM leads, Yelp/Google Business for local signals. Each new integration came from a specific "I wish I could see X right now" frustration during client calls or reviews. I kept it lean, no unnecessary features, focusing on marketers and SMBs/agencies who hate tab-switching as much as I did.
By beta launch in late January 2026, it had transformed from a personal hack into a tool I genuinely relied on every day. I wanted to stop wasting time on data wrangling so we could spend it on what matters (growing the business, optimizing campaigns, proving ROI without the headache).
Foxtown Stats is the dashboard I wish existed years ago. All your marketing stats in one place. And that's why I built it.
