Hey Product Hunt community! 👋
I'm excited to share FounderSignal, a project I've been passionately working on. It started as a portfolio piece, but I quickly realized its potential to solve a real problem for aspiring founders: validating startup ideas quickly and cheaply.
What is FounderSignal?
The core idea is simple:
You describe your startup idea.
FounderSignal instantly generates a "dummy" MVP landing page for it. This page is designed to simulate a real product and capture initial user interest.
You can then share this landing page and track crucial engagement metrics like page views, CTA clicks, scroll depth, and time on page.
This allows you to get a feel for market interest and gather preliminary audience insights before writing a single line of production code for the actual product.
Video Showcase: I've recorded features / website walkthrough video to show you FounderSignal in action.
Current Stage & Future Vision: FounderSignal is still in its early stages and not yet production-ready. Currently, the landing page generated for each idea uses a similar template (though populated with the specific idea's details like title and description).
My next big step is to integrate AI to dynamically generate unique HTML content for each landing page based on the idea's description and title, making the MVP simulation even more realistic. I also envision features like AI-powered summaries of market signals.
My Big Question for You, Product Hunt: This is where I'd be incredibly grateful for your wisdom and feedback. I'm at a crossroads with FounderSignal:
Should I pursue this as a full-fledged private project? I believe it has significant potential, but I'd likely need co-founders to navigate that journey.
Should I open-source it and build it with the community?
Or should it remain a side project primarily for my resume, without significant further development?
I genuinely believe this tool can help many founders avoid building something nobody wants.
What are your thoughts on:
The core concept of FounderSignal?
Which direction do you think I should take it?
Any features you'd love to see?
Thank you for checking out FounderSignal! I'm looking forward to your feedback.
