The idea behind FormPulse is simple: counting repetitions is useful, but knowing whether you're performing an exercise correctly is even more important.
FormPulse uses real-time camera-based pose detection to track body movements, count repetitions, and identify potential form mistakes during exercises like squats and push-ups. Instead of just showing a number, it aims to provide meaningful feedback that helps users understand and improve their movements.
Building this involved working with computer vision, pose estimation, body landmark tracking, and exercise-specific movement analysis. Getting the detection and feedback logic to work reliably was an especially interesting part of the process.
I'm sharing FormPulse because I believe accessible, camera-based fitness feedback can make exercise tracking more useful without requiring specialized equipment.
I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback, suggestions, and ideas. What exercise or form-checking feature would you most like to see added next?
Thanks for checking out FormPulse!
